Our Model

Educational Facilities Group acts as the lead project developer and owner’s authorized representative to serve on behalf of the school throughout process of developing and constructing new school facilities. Our role can evolve based on the needs of our clients, but typically we work with schools from the beginning to end. This means we find viable sites, finance, acquire, entitle, design and construct new school facilities. School leadership is highly involved throughout, providing key input on planning and design, making key decisions, and engaging stakeholders.

There are key differences between our services and model and what other school developers offer. With all EFG led projects:

  1. The charter school owns all project assets including holding title to real property.

  2. Project financing is procured from multiple sources to keep the project affordable.

  3. We do not have investors and there is no expected rate of return on any project.

  4. We understand charter school operations and finances and aim to work within the parameters established by the school partner.

  5. We work with complete transparency and actively welcome the participation of school leaders and stakeholders throughout the development process.
